prospectus
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to artists 18+ living in the USA. Original artwork can be any medium. 3D pieces are acceptable; however, limited space is available for displaying these items. please see “gallery space numbers” below.
artwork:
six examples from the proposed exhibit are required for consideration. title, medium, and size must be included for each example.examples can be high resolution photos.
artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist.
SIZE LIMIT:
there is no size limit to artwork, however, it should be noted that each gallery space can accomodate different sizes of art. hangable art should be wired, labeled, and ready to hang.
SHIPPED ENTRIES:
For framed works on paper, plexi-glass or glass is acceptable.
ENTRIES:
the prospectus must be completed and submitted online only.
submission FEES:
None.
SALES:
the james memorial art center takes a 20% commission on sales. Label work that is not for sale “NFS”.
DELIVERY AND PICK-UP:
Work that is shipped must arrive in a reusable container, including a prepaid computer-generated return shipping label. No U.S. Postal Service returns. Artists are responsible for shipping costs. exhibits also may be delivered by the artist.
LIABILITY:
All possible care will be taken to guarantee the safety of the work. James memorial art gallery’s insurance will cover work ONLY while it is hanging in the gallery. The gallery will not bear liability for any loss or damage while in transit. Transit insurance is the responsibility of the artist.

artist statement and bio are also required with the prospectus.
artists may exhibit at the James once every three years.
a $100 stipend will be paid to the artist upon request.
