Art Fest 2026
The James Memorial Art Center’s annual Art Fest returns on Saturday, June 20, 10 AM to 4 PM at Recreation Park for a full day of art, music, creativity, and community.
We’re once again teaming up with the Williston Downtowners Association’s Art & Wine Walk on Thursday, June 18 to turn the entire weekend into a celebration of the arts in Williston. Add in partnerships with local organizations and businesses, and you’ve got a weekend that practically hums with creativity.

This family friendly event features live music and performances, live art demonstrations, youth activities, art and craft vendors, food vendors, and our popular art auction featuring original pieces donated specifically for the event. Art Fest is free and open to the public.
Why Art Fest Matters
Art Fest exists to promote the arts in Northwestern North Dakota and to support the preservation and operation of the James Memorial Art Center.
When Recreation Park fills with artists, makers, musicians, and families, it becomes more than a festival. It becomes a reminder that art belongs right in the center of community life. It’s the perfect place to discover something handmade and meaningful while supporting our local creatives and the James.
While Art Fest is our largest fundraiser of the year, it also reflects our mission in action: promoting the arts, creating interactive experiences, and strengthening our community through creativity.

The 20th Annual Art Fest is the Williston area’s largest outdoor arts and crafts festival. It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase and sell your handmade goods, products, and creative treasures.
Artists, crafters, community groups, and food vendors are all welcome. Whether you work in paint, clay, metal, fiber, food, or something delightfully unexpected, we’d love to have you join us.

ARTIST RECEPTIONS
Each month, The James invites the community to an artist reception where visitors can explore the latest exhibits, engage with the artists, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts. We typically offer delicious appetizers and at times, live music, creating a welcoming atmosphere to celebrate creativity and community together. Admission is free, making it an accessible opportunity to experience vibrant local and regional art.
Our next reception is Friday, March 27th, from 6-7:30 PM.
GAME NIGHT
Join us at the James Memorial Art Center every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month for Game Night ~ 7 pm until Midnight! Bring your favorite board, card or RPG games and some friends and snacks, or join in on a game with others! All are welcome, free and open to the public.
